SC Villa will be out to put a five-year run without league victory over KCCA when the two face off at Masaka Recreation Ground on Saturday.
The Jogoos last tasted victory against the Kasasiro in 2011/12 season when Herman Wasswa and Moses Ndaula struck in a 2-0 win under the stewardship of Mike Mutebi.
SC Villa coach Wasswa Bbosa is aware of the unwanted record but says we football is played in present tense.
“Of course it’s long without a win over KCCA but football rarely depends on history,” he said.
What offers Bbosa believe is the fact that his charges are yet to lose a game since relocating to Masaka but KCCA is one of the few sides to have picked a point from there.
SC Villa have goalie Samson Kirya back in contention after serving a two match ban but are likely to miss the services of winger Simon Sserunkuma who got a knock on Wednesday in training.
KCCA have Muzamiru Mutyaba and Derrick Nsibambi back after sitting out two games due to injuries and are also likely to have goalie Benjamin Ochan in goal after sitting on the bench in the previous two.
KCCA are the only unbeaten side in the league after six games.
SC Villa have won all their three home games in the campaign so far.
KCCA have registered three goalless draws in the campaign, two more than they managed the whole of last season.
